Based in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, Erma’s Estate Art and Apparel was established in 2023 by artist/owner Theresa Vohanka. Theresa is a lifelong artist and self-taught sewist who’s fascination with discarded and aged materials has led her to the world of vintage quilts. Theresa repurposes quilts that are damaged, forgotten, or headed to a landfill, with the goal of not only preserving their beauty and history but showcasing it. She sees fashion as a potent mode of self-expression that speaks to who you are and what you value. Made sustainably, ethically, and with great care, Theresa hopes you find your unique and brilliant self in this one-of-a-kind apparel.
